THEN WE FOUND JIJI.

THEN WE FOUND JIJI.

You know that feeling when you weren't looking for anything in particularand suddenly you find exactly what was missing?

Buying season is a strange thing.

You see hundreds of pieces. Blazers, trousers, knits, jackets. Rack after rack, collection after collection. Some are beautiful. Some are commercial. Some make perfect sense on paper.

And then, every once in a while, something makes you stop.

Not because it's loud.

Not because everybody is already talking about it.

But because you immediately start imagining how you would wear it.

That was JIJI.

We saw an oversized jacket and instantly wanted to throw it over denim. Then came the trousers. The knits. The slightly unexpected proportions. Pieces that felt cool without looking like they had spent too much time trying to be cool.

And somewhere between “this is good” and “wait, look at this one”, we knew.

This had to come to BIGGLES.

“The best new brands aren't the ones you were looking for. They're the ones you can't stop thinking about once you've found them.”

THE PIECE THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING

We have always believed that the best wardrobes are built around really good essentials.

The jeans that fit exactly right. The perfect trouser. A beautiful knit. A blazer you can throw over almost anything.

But a wardrobe consisting of only sensible decisions would be terribly boring.

Sometimes you need a piece that changes everything around it.

JIJI does that.

A short oversized jacket suddenly makes the denim you've owned for three years feel new again. A strong trouser only needs a white T-shirt. A knit with an unexpected shape makes an otherwise simple outfit feel considered.

Nothing needs much explanation.

You put it on.

And somehow, it works.

“A great piece doesn't ask you to change your wardrobe. It makes you look at everything you already own differently.”

NOT TOO PERFECT, PLEASE

Maybe that's what attracted us most.

JIJI doesn't feel overly polished.

There is always something slightly off in the best possible way. A little more volume. A stronger shoulder. A shorter length. A contrast you wouldn't necessarily have thought of yourself.

And that's often where personal style starts.

Because the women whose wardrobes we find most interesting rarely look as though they've followed a formula. They mix an expensive jacket with an old T-shirt. Masculine trousers with something feminine. A polished loafer with oversized denim.

Their outfit isn't perfect.

It's theirs.

JIJI leaves room for exactly that.

“Perfect outfits are easy to forget. Personal style stays with you.”

THE NEW KIND OF STATEMENT PIECE

For a long time, a statement piece meant something obvious.

A bright colour. A dramatic print. Something that entered the room before you did.

We think that definition has changed.

Today, a statement can simply be an incredible silhouette.

It's the jacket with exactly the right amount of volume. The trouser that falls differently from everything else in your wardrobe. The piece someone notices without quite knowing why.

That's the kind of fashion we're interested in right now.

Less look at me.

More where did you get that?

And JIJI has plenty of those pieces.

“The new statement isn't about being louder. It's about being interesting.”

SO, HOW WOULD WE WEAR IT?

Probably not head-to-toe.

We'd take that JIJI jacket and wear it with our favourite AGOLDE denim and loafers. We'd combine the trousers with the white tee we've had forever. We'd let a statement knit do all the work and keep everything else simple.

Because new clothes shouldn't require an entirely new wardrobe.

They should make the wardrobe you already own more interesting.

That's also why JIJI felt right for BIGGLES.

We can see it next to the Scandinavian tailoring, the denim, the elevated basics and all those pieces we keep telling you to invest in.

It doesn't replace them.

It wakes them up.

“The best fashion purchase is often the one that makes five old pieces feel new again.”

AND THAT'S HOW A NEW BRAND ENTERS BIGGLES

Not because we needed another name on the brand list.

Not because something was trending.

But because we kept coming back to the rack.

Picking things up.

Trying them on.

Talking about how we'd style them.

And eventually there really wasn't much left to discuss.

Some brands need a long introduction.

Others just make you want to get dressed.

“Sometimes you don't choose the brand. The collection makes the decision for you.”
